Alinda Martha

Martha Alinda is a driven scholar pursuing Sustainable Building Engineering (BEng) at Sapienza University of Rome supported by the prestigious Lazio Disco Regional Scholarship. She is also a recipient of the Delac Foundation for women in coding.

Martha’s robust academic foundation is complemented by practical experience gained through various roles. These include interning at the Ministry of Water and Environment, Uganda, where she designed schematic infrastructure layouts and environmental and social impact assessment (ESIA) activities. She has developed her skills in a variety of interdisciplinary domains, including urban planning, architectural technology and geotechnics.

Outside academia, Martha is a catalyst for community-driven change. As a committee member of the Ugandan Students Association in Italy, she played a pivotal role in organising workshops and networking events for students to connect with professionals. Additionally, she participated in the African Connect Initiative in Italy that celebrated the fusion of art, culture, and innovation. She enjoys continuous learning, exploring cultures, and sports. With an enthusiasm for urban renewal and environmental preservation in East Africa, she is on a mission to promote sustainable development and renewable energy.
