Tendo Ndawula
Associate, Finance Desk
Tendo Ndawula is an undergraduate at Lake Forest College pursuing Economics and Data Science with a finance concentration (BA). His coursework spans corporate finance, statistical programming using R, data analytics, and investments, providing a strong foundation in quantitative analysis and risk assessment.
Professionally, Tendo has applied these skills in financial risk and assurance roles, most recently as a Global Assurance Internal Audit Intern at CME Group, where he conducted risk-based audits across securities clearing, enterprise risk management, and financial planning functions. He contributed to control testing, process documentation, and operational readiness assessments. Tendo also participated in Goldman Sachs’ Emerging Leaders Series within the Risk Division, gaining exposure to firm-wide risk management frameworks and mentorship from industry professionals.
In addition to his academic and professional experience, Tendo is passionate about entrepreneurship and technology. He is currently developing Arrivo, a personal companion app designed to support international students navigating academic, professional and cultural transitions, alongside a collaborator. He is also a varsity NCAA Division III swimmer, born in Uganda and raised across East Africa, Tendo’s regional experiences inform his perspective on finance, business, and economic development in the region.
