Ashley Ainomugisha is a committed and resilient final-year law student at the University of Manchester (LLB), born and raised in Uganda. She has practical experience in both legal and financial services environments. She has interned at leading institutions including MMAKS Advocates and Opportunity Bank Uganda, where she supported teams in contract drafting, legal research, trial preparation, and regulatory compliance work.
She is involved in several extracurricular activities. She is a member of the University of Manchester Bar Society’s mooting committee, where she organises internal and external mooting competitions and serves as a judge for beginner moot rounds. She has served as the East African Society’s general secretary, where she managed all documentation and communications.
Her interests lie at the intersection of law, strategy, and development, with a growing focus on how the law can aid business innovation and institutional growth across Africa. She is currently expanding her experience in consulting and legal advisory work, with a particular interest in problem-solving that drives impact and supports sustainable growth.
