Elvis Mutema is a strategist pursuing Economics (BA) with a minor in Business Institutions at Northwestern University. His academic training aligns with the Commerce & Culture Desk, where he will apply business strategy and market analysis to uncover opportunities across East Africa. His coursework at King’s College London in Finance and Industrial Organisation sharpened his understanding of global markets and the cultural dynamics of commerce.

Elvis interned at BCG as a Summer Associate in both 2023 and 2024, contributing to market segmentation, client data analysis, and business development - work that helped large corporations achieve financial efficiencies. Through campusCATALYST, he also consulted for non-profits, applying rigorous analysis to drive social impact.

Beyond work and academics, Elvis serves as Event Coordinator for the Association of Kenyan Students at Northwestern, where he promotes mentorship and academic growth. He also led access initiatives with EducationUSA Kenya, boosting the number of Kenyan students admitted to US universities. Passionate about aviation, he closely follows airline economics – a field key to regional integration and economic growth across East Africa.
