Stacey Adongo

Co-head, Climate & Energy Desk

Stacey holds a law degree from Strathmore University (LLB), with a strong focus on corporate and regulatory law. She has completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Law at the Kenya School of Law and is awaiting admission to the bar as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. Her academic background is complemented by several specialised certifications, including a certificate in energy and climate change from the Oxford School of Climate Change, a certificate in data protection from the Centre for Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law at Strathmore University, and recently, the World Bank Group’s course on ‘Women, Business and the Law’.

Stacey has held multiple roles across legal and policy-focused organisations, demonstrating a consistent commitment to regulatory analysis, stakeholder engagement, and strategic project delivery. As a Legal Consultant, she advised on clean energy regulations, managed electricity procurement projects and led regulatory compliance efforts. Prior to this, Stacey worked as a Trainee Lawyer at Bowmans and served as a Graduate Assistant at Strathmore Law School. 

Stacey’s commitment to legal advocacy and development extends beyond her formal roles. She has served as a Human Rights Campaigner with Amnesty International Kenya and contributed to legal research through platforms such as the African Mining Legislation Atlas and Utawala Africa. Outside of her professional pursuits, she is an avid hiker and loves any opportunity to travel the world.
