Cervical cancer accounts for 40% of all cancer diagnoses in women in this region, and In Kenya, cervical cancer is the most common cancer death among women. Cervical cancer is largely preventable. Around 95% of cervical cancers are caused by the persistent untreated infection with the human papillomavirus (HPV), a sexually transmitted infection.
